maturity is the ability to maintain tensions

Rooted in the deep currents of love, positioned alongside the sun and stars the alchemist seeks out what is to be his life in the grit of the desert. And so it is that all who search out their Personal Legend(or what have you), search for them in the grit of the desert. Anyone who searches and believes in his purpose, his listening, is himself an alchemist of sorts. Though some may die in their journeys, it is better to die living one's Personal Legend than to die a man with every longing sitting in the front of his mind abated by what he may lose. A life lived in fear is hardly a life at all because a life lived in fear cannot talk with the heart. Each person has their Personal Legend which they must be sensitive to, each of us must listen, take courage and go where we must. We may lose all that we have built and worked for, but it is not in the past that we live, nor is it in the future of what we may achieve. As each of us go we must look only to the present for direction. I cannot let tomorrow decide today; tomorrow only knows about itself and may distract me from what I must do today. Each day waits in line for its turn, and to rob it of any of its fullness will tear it into a million pieces and dismiss all its waiting as nothing. The days are evil to one another, and they fight to get as much out of you as they can. Each day wants you to prepare everyday prior for it, and make you forget that there is any day after it to occupy your mind. So allow nothing to make you waver, nothing to make you hinder giving today for what it has waited an eternity. Each event is sacred. The days hold creation in its place, and creation groans for you to experience it, to listen. Our hearts are fragile, that is why they must be guarded in the center of the body. Without the heart a person cannot be alive, and without listening to the heart a person cannot find his Personal Legend; that is to say, he cannot be the person God created him to be. Our hearts are more than just physically fragile; they wish not to suffer. And when one lives fighting for what he believes in the heart suffers. What we must teach our hearts is: 'that no heart has ever suffered when it goes in search of its dreams, because every second of the search is a second-encounter with God and with eternity.' Our hearts are what is egging us on in the journey in the first place, we are following what God has spun in our hearts before we were ever conceived. And as they feel pain so they will feel purpose. As we seek out our Personal Legend, or dreams, or the 'What(ever)', or the person we were created to be we must be soft to the world. Education has made us jaded, people have stolen our trust, we have given things we regret, violence has taken its hand at making us so; but we must remain soft and full of spirited Joy. We must continue to trust and give to the world, to be open and authentic with those we meet. The road is treacherous with many thieves and evils - this we cannot forget, and as love and peace are our companions so are shrewdness and wits. 'Most people see the world as a threatening place, and because they do, the world turns out, indeed, to be a threatening place.' Keep seeing the world as beautiful, peaceful, and full of God. Talk and learn from its people, learn from creation, and listen to that which God has put in your path for it is not a mistake, but an intention of God himself. Believe. Live. Love. Seek with all your strength and heart and you will, without a doubt, find.
